Ah yes, I remember "sharing" from Hippie School

My mum was into a whole raft of trendy things in the early 70's. Dream therapy workshops, pop-psych things of various kinds, all of which involved a lot of "sharing". She used to come home and try the stuff out on me. I remember being asked to keep a "dream diary" starting when I was about seven or eight. I learned pretty fast how to be proficient at making up plausible-sounding dreams for her to share with her little hippie long-hair friends. Feel kinda bad about it now.

Anyway. Memes remind me of that a little. This one esp. which I pinched without being invited from Maclernon's place:

What I was doing 10 years ago:
I had been in Halifax for a year and was in the dual process of becoming a practising Catholic whilst going mad. Went mad for about a year, then got better. Remained Catholic.

5 Snacks I enjoy:
My favourite evening meal of late has been a large slab of dark Belgian chocolate, a large bag of sweet chili flavoured crisps washed down with a litre of Scrumpy Jack. That's only four, if you divide the Scrumpy into two 500 ml servings.

Things I would do if I were a billionaire:
Buy the cottage that's down the lane from here and live in it with a pair of insanely unfriendly dogs and a large calibre shotgun. Spend all my time writing novels and learning herbal remedies and poisons. Work on becoming known as the village witch. Give a lot of money to a certain very politically incorrect political party I shall not mention. Buy the Queen a nice present for her Diamond Wedding anniversary. Something she doesn't already have. Purchase a Tory politician. I've always wanted one of my very own. Buy a publishing house that specialises in publishing books I want to read that have been out of print for two hundred years or more.

Five jobs that I have had:
Pastry chef. Wardrobe assistant on two movies and one short-lived television show. Researcher for a national pro-life lobby group. Stage manager for a small theatre company. Writer.

Three of my bad habits:
Bossiness. Correcting people's grammar when my own isn't really all that great. Holding grudges for decades. Mean streak with a side of bad temper. (yes that's four, I know. Shut up.)

Five places I have lived:
The Canadian sub-arctic. Manchester England-England. Nanoose Bay, British Columbia (the most beautiful place on earth). Kingston, Ontario. Victoria, British Columbia.

Mmm. Sweet chili crisps... Would never have imagined England succumbing to that trend.
