France's First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy recently announced to the world that Pope Benedict XVI has forcibly driven her away from the Catholic Church.
my thought was, "huh, 'forcibly' eh?" And the image of the tiny, 80 year-old, soft-spoken, white-haired Benedict, grasping this repulsive hussy by the back of her shirt and expelling her from St. Peter's, she sprawling on the steps while the Holy Father brushes off his hands...
flickered across my mind's eye for one brief but very enjoyable moment.
One can dream.

That is indeed a very droll and delicious dream. To carry it further, one can imagine Ms. Sarkozy being but the first of a very long line. This could be physiotherapy for the pope's broken wrist--chucking people out of Church physically, each with a writ of excommunication handed them immediately before being tossed off the steps.
Hehehe. Delicious indeed.
But isn't she, strictly speaking, France's Third Lady?
Lady isn't quite the right word Louise.
I'm using it technically.
You are right Louise ,she is no lady ,and she has never expressed any catholicity before.Trying to be relevant,to please the french secularists, and long after she has aged, sagged, had plastic surgery and botox,THE LIVING GOD ,who she ignores will still be there, and will be demanding of her One Glorious Day ,why she ignored Him.
