I'll let St. Philip get today's last word

From the Daily Philip:

"Let us strive after purity of heart, for the Holy Spirit dwells in candid and simple minds."

Thanks for the link and for the post below. Ever since visiting Rome a few years back the figure of St Philip has loomed in the back of my mind, even though I know next to nothing about him. I get the feeling now that he wants to shake my life up a bit and would like me to pay more attention to him. Could get interesting.

"God bless Philip Neri! I'm so glad that he is a saint! It means there is room in the church for everyone! He was "entirely unmonastic and unmedieval; he was the active promoter of vernacular services, frequent and popular preaching, unconventional prayer, and unsystematized, albeit fervent, private devotion." You can be a terrible traditionalist while being a first class Catholic disciple of Jesus Christ."
