but - A friend of my husband, Fr. X, left his home diocese because of this bishop and his moral unauthority. Scandalous situations that Fr. X had to encounter - and none had to do with the laity.

Well I meant that I thought the story about him was just a New Jersey and DC rumor. I had no idea people outisde of either diocese knew about it.
It's allll over the internet. Don't look, though, or you will feel seriously scandalized and miffed.
