My very first upload to Youtube. A 1 minute 46 second video took nearly two hours to load, so I figure I must be doing it wrong. But it's not bad, I thought.
A camera's video recording is usually uncompressed "raw" video, and can easily run to 30MB a minute; furthermore, the "A" in "ADSL" (if that's what flavour of internet service you've got) usually means uploads take ten times as long as downloads of the same size.
Either way, you may well want to try some video re-encoding program.
