On one hand, I think they're incredible, obviously. But on the other hand, I kind of have to wonder what the point is, other than to exhibit highly technical skill. Other than that, aesthetically speaking, I see no reason why you would paint this way instead of photograph it. I'm talking hyper-realism, here, not classical realism like the paintings you posted here. Just wondering what your thoughts on hyper-realism are.

Hyperrealism, photorealism, isn't art. It's just technique.
