Holy Moly is right! Thanks for this. Good thing Earth's gravity is enough to hold us wee things in place as we're whirring through space. Also, the Sun has a tail? Cool.

Maybe it was explained in the audio (I did not hear it) but it is simply a matter of picking your frame of reference. 70,000kph with respect to what? We are free to choose the frame of reference which simplifies the task at hand, and simplifies any necessary mathematical model thereof. The heliocentric model can be simpler for calculating planetary orbits, but we don't normally use it when mapping a route from our front door to the local market, or from the Milky Way to the Andromeda Galaxy. WARNING: FORBIDDEN WORDS AHEAD. The geocentric model is useful for some physics tasks AND promotes a worldview that helps souls in the Church Militant get from Earth to Heaven. Happy Easter!
