It's normal and natural and nothing to be ashamed of

How do we know?

Well, the animals do it, of course.

This thought hadn't occurred to me ONE BIT

About the Vatican's blognic.

No Sur!

A friend writes by email:

Remember in Braveheart when Edward Longshanks invited the heads of all the clans to a meeting?

This is nothing like that.

Nothing at all.

Bet you can't watch more than thirty seconds of THIS

OK, here's a game we can play to make this fun. Pick which ones are totally whipped, which are saying it to get laid, and which are actually women.

Update:

Even the Glib and Stale couldn't stand it.
Over on YouTube, a vicious backlash prompted the Conscious Men to disable comments on their video.

“We are very aware that some people resonated with it, and some did not,” reads a note under the video. “We have received thousands of comments, and many of them are highly abusive or offensive. We are happy to welcome all points of view, but not expressions of violence or hatred.”

...oh, go ahead. Cry. Let it out...

H/T to Mr. Di Pippo, who isn't nearly famous enough.

Blognic at the Vatican

I've just been ordered to sign up for this.

I very strongly suspect, however, that I am exactly the kind of blogger they don't want to see at this thing.

Still, you never know.

They are asking people to send in emailed requests for invitations.

As space is limited to 150 seats and there is a desire to have a representation of the entire blogosphere, entrance passes and further details will be distributed with a view to the diversity of language and geography, typology of blogs (institutional or private, multivoice or personal), subjects of blogs, and timeliness of request.

So I'm sending in the request, but I find myself somewhat at a loss to describe the nature of this blog.

It's a personal blog, obviously, but what exactly is it about?

Any suggestions about how I should describe it?

A new New Liturgical Movement

I don't see why liturgy can't involve more marching bands.

Oh, it's me!

Don't you think?

A few months ago, I was shooting the breeze with a friend who is getting married this year. She was talking about all the nice flowery, girly things she wants for her wedding. White dress, orange blossom and whathaveyou.

I thought a moment and said, "I think I'd like an Addams Family wedding if I were ever to get married."

Black ankle-width Morticia dress, all the bridesmaids dressed as Wednesday Addams...

I just couldn't picture the right cake.

...

I can't imagine why I can't get a date.

Hey Newchurch,

how's that whole "new springtime" thingy working out for ya?

About 40 per cent said pre-marital sex was sinful, and just 19.2 percent thought it sinful for married couples to use birth control.

Science: still the coolest

Remember the egg-and-frying-pan "This is your brain on drugs" ads?

Well, this is engineers on grants.
