Have to try this
Still trying to decide the best thing to do with that beautiful robin's-egg blue linen. I've been combing the vintage dress and sewing blogs (of which there is a startling number out there... crowds of us, apparently, find modern fashion somewhat lacking) and have come across this lovely little project.

Oh, that's such a pretty blouse! And yes, modern fashion is lacking. On the train to work this morning, I was looking around at the other passengers and thinking how much better most of us would look in clothes from a different time - a time when clothing was actually beautiful. I wonder if that (the fashion for clothing that is pretty, not just practical) will ever come back?
My comment is not posting! Perhaps because of the very unladylike reference I made to a certain song about a certain detachable something else!

That is very lovely. I've always wanted to learn to sew and make my own clothes. I tried to make curtains once but ran out of the tread on the bobbin of my sewing machine. I was perplexed to know what to do after.
