Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O Lord of hosts, my King, and my God.

What the Feast of All Souls is supposed to look like
Santissima Trinita dei Pellegrini
If you don't know what that big thing is, you can thank Vatican II. Novusordoism: not Catholicism. (It's a catafalque.)
Is that a skull and crossbone on the pall? Thanks for the link. I have seen a few pictures in the last day or so with what I thought was a coffin with someone in it. Don't laugh but I wondered how convenient it had to be to have so many dead bodies for these requiem masses. Now I know! Beautiful pictures! Love the vestments!

Yes.
ReplyDeleteAnd we've actually got a real skull and bones we use for requiem Masses. It's 300 years old, I'm told.
Best. Parish. In. The. World.
My church is an upside down boat that was built in the late 60's.
ReplyDeleteI. Wish. I. Was. There. For. Mass.
Look at those candles and holders!!!
People love our candlesticks. Though it is difficult to tell the scale, those babies are actually about 12 or 13 feet tall.
ReplyDeleteAnd that painting is a baroque masterpiece by the great Guido Reni.
Woot!
Jealous! (in a Christian way)
