This is overly simplifed because it confuses prostitution with legitimate marriage. Men don't marry for sexual access, they marry for legitimate children. The sexual revolution "lowered the price tag" on prostitution. Marriage was eliminated by other factors (particularly the elimination of the stigma of illegitimacy). The conservative subcultures are trying to create highclass monogamous courtesans to offer to men at the very high price of modern Western marriage and pretending like that is the equivalent of a culture that values and protects chaste women. It's not.
Predicating marriage on sexual appeal is unbelievably stupid and shortsighted. It's particularly idiotic in a culture that doesn't permit young people to legally marry until 18 and socially limits marriage to people in their mid20s at the *earliest.* A woman's purely sexual power is waning by that time, while the man's will continue to wax for decades. People in these subcultures do a lot of handwaving about marriage being about something other than hotpants, but I'm not seeing a real understanding of the need to re-establish differentiated adult sex roles and patriarchy. Conservative subcultures ought to be offering men and women respectability and mature roles in their community. Instead there's this foolish promise of eternal adolescence.
