Well, doctor came. Surgery was without complications. Now they have to do the histology, a cell-by-cell examination of the "margins" the bits they cut out around the tumour, to make sure there is no cancer there. If the answer is no, then that's it.
If yes,
...well...
We won't know for 20 days.
But I'm going home tomorrow morning either way.

V. glad to hear you're ok and going home soon.
ReplyDeleteVery, very glad you're going home already.
ReplyDeleteI'll compare my tale of post-op "marginal" woe another time, as I know you'll pull out the inevitable graphs and numbers and goreyesque cartoons when you're feeling more cheeky.
Btw, those survival stats are what people like us get for hating math, you know. Newton's revenge, or some such thing!
20 days (in the Novus Ordo) is the feast of St. Cecilia (Nov 22)- if I added correctly.
ReplyDeleteGive or take a day or two you have the Sunday feast of Christ the King (Nov 20). Nov 21 is the Presentation of the BVMary.
If you don't mind we will pray for you here in Orangeville.
I sing in the church choir so hopefully I have more pull with St. Cecilia!;)
Hi, Hilary Jane!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the SURGERY bit went well. And I hope the histological exam of the tissue removed ends with good news for you. I'll pray for you, inadequate tho that seems.
Sincerely, Sean M. Brooks
