People think
I have no excuse whatever for being homesick. But I'm from here, so...
you know.
And I'm such a BC tree nerd, I can tell you the species of both those trees just from the bark pattern. The one in front is a Douglas Fir and the other is a Western Red Cedar.
That top photo is taken from Prospect Point in Stanley Park, isn't it? I miss British Columbia and the trees and all the GREEN (the foliage, not the politics), too.

You have every excuse. Italy is lovely, but the landscape is all wrong, and you're not even in one of the bits where it's less wrong.
