Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O Lord of hosts, my King, and my God.

Pope Benedict and the New Dark Age
I've been listening to these every morning. They tell it pretty plainly. Good for reference to explain things to our secularist friends.
The trouble Benedict is facing is that the new barbarians just don't want to face up to the fact of being the bad guys in the show.
Very plainspoken.
ReplyDeleteI think he's spot on regarding the Regensburg address. It seemed obvious to me, reading it, that the main thrust of it was against our own barbarians, and the bit about Islam was a side point.
(But not a blunder. It was Regensburg and the subsequent handling of it which persuaded me that Pope Benedict is smarter than I can ever hope to be. He plays on a lot of levels at once -- I expect he's a killer chess player...)
peace,
Zach
