Led Zep
I was fifteen, and they were already "nostalgia rock," if not "retro" (an expression that was not invented yet).
I saw Led Zeppelin live in Los Angeles on Memorial Day, 1973, and thought they were the greatest thing to happen to music since the beginning of time. Other concerts attended were the Rolling Stones, Keith Emerson, and other forgettable "musicians", heard at ear-splitting volume.
Now I listen to Mozart, Bach, and Chopin and offer up in reparation my 30% hearing loss in one ear. I must have been a different person back then...
