Pro-lifers "divisive"

Ho hum...

"At times, even in the Church, zeal can lead people to issue harsh judgments and impute the worst motives to one another. These attitudes and practices do irreparable damage to the communion of the Church," he wrote. "If any cause is motivated by judgment, anger or vindictiveness, it will be doomed to marginalization and failure."

  1. I nearly vomited over the Cardinal's NewSpeak statements on Kennedy's "lack of support for the unborn." Kennedy was a leading opponent of the unborn, and about the only thing he didn't do was perform abortions himself. It was Kennedy's public record that led me to "issue harsh judgments and impute the worst motives" to Kennedy, yet I'm the bad one here.

    And to think, I was considering becoming a deacon to Cardinal O'Malley.
