Erased

OK, it's done it again.

Does anyone have any idea why my computer randomly erases all my cookies, history and dumps all my bookmarks?

I have tried to find the setting where I have accidentally pushed a button to tell it to do this, but can't find it.

It only happens on Firefox.

Have I got a bug, or what? It's getting on my nerves.

  1. Normal people use IE.

IE does offer such erasures as part of their maintenance package, but (so far as I know) it must be done manually.

Did FF offer some "maintain" schedule to which you assented?

  2. I'm having the same problem. Every time I reboot my computer, it's like I have a fresh install of FF. No bookmarks, history, cookies, or Google Toolbar. All gone. This just started happening in the past week.

  3. Sounds like a virus to me. You people need to watch where you tread in cyberspace.
