Today's Political Smile

Day started much the same way.

All snug, covers up to ears, cat in exactly the most annoying possible spot on the bed so I have to sleep diagonally...etc...

BBC Radio 3 clicks on at precisely seven: "Boris Johnson has been elected Mayor of London..."

Smile without opening eyes.

Then a horrible thought occurs.

Since when has there been two consecutive days of good political news?

Is it a sign of the end?

    My cats now understand the signal "look out" and will move a foot to the side when I want to go to bed. If not, I pick them up and move them over. Nothing like having a warm kitty or two or three snuggled right next to me to help relieve the chill.

    And, congratulations on the political victories!
