But there&#...Well, perhaps not the Orthodox church. But there's the Russicum, near Mary Major (and more importantly, the train station) that totally has awesome chant. Really amazing. <br /><br />They're a great cure for getting fed up with religion. One time, I couldn't stand going to Mass any more. Sooo tedious. So a friend of mine invited me up to the Russicum for some kind of chanting thing, maybe it was Divine LIturgy, but I couldn't tell. ANd it was GREAT! I felt freed. I didn't have to do anything. I just sat there and let it wash over me. I looked at the pictures. Holy Thursday and Great Friday, in particular, are very arresting. These Lamentations are from the Great Friday evening service.
