Not forgotten

From my own family, the men who served in both the great wars

Herbert Edward Burkett, my mother's father, William Doloughan, my mother's grandfather, and Norman Hucknell White, my father's father.

My husband wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for the Liberators of Italy!
I still remember the stories of my late Father-in-law and how they never knew if the Germans would kill you, your family, your town, when they took over from the Italian forces.
Though it was constantly bombed by the Allies his family was still very grateful for the Liberators of Italy.
His family is from Treviso.
