Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O Lord of hosts, my King, and my God.
Dear HIlary White,Thank you, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of this Newfoundlander's heart for your moving tribute to our boys who were killed at Beaumont Hamel. I have a personal connection to this battle, as a distant cousin, Private Francis Joseph ("Chick") Galgay was among those killed. I heard much about him when I was growing up, and hope some day to visit the Regimental cemetery in France where he and the other fellows are buried. For many years now, I've been living in Quebec, but am very proud of my Newfoundland roots, and am happy to see the Regiment's story being spread around the Web by people such as yourself. Thanks again, and as we say down home, "Long may your big jib draw!"God bless,Patricia Gonzalez
