OK

I was discussing with a friend the other day whether God has a sense of humour. He is a theology grad student so he had to give the "right" answer. He said, not really. Not like ours. He likes to make us laugh so He does funny stuff like ducks and giraffes. But He doesn't laugh Himself.

I thought that was bosh. Ducks are naturally comical. He must be laughing.

Ducks on ice.

But the Bible says that he laughs... And get ready for it: St. Thomas notes that when it says that He laughs at sinners, it means He is NOT going to have mercy on them.

that's what I said. But I'm thinking he has all the time in the world for the ducks.

Ducks good. Pit gliberals and smuglies bad.

Hmmmm... Seems that when the Bible says God laughs, and when St. Thomas talks about it, they're not talking about God enjoying a good joke. "The Lord laughs them to scorn."

There's a reason why the 'right answer' is the right answer.

Miracles are God's practical jokes. "These people think they've got Me worked out and pinned down, "He says. "Let's see what they make of *this*."
